In Junior League play at the Little League Complex last night, Salem IGA beat Peoples National Bank 8-4 scoring 7 runs in the 2nd inning. IGA got 2 RBI from Wyatt McCarty and Damon Jennings. Peyton Baldwin, Brendan Smith and Ki Johnston also added RBI. In the loss for Peoples, Jay Hassebrock drove in a run, Drake Rector had 2 hits including a double with a single also from Nicholi Marhanka. Wyatt McCarty was the winning pitcher going 5 innings allowing 3 hits and 2 runs with 7 strikeouts. Smith got the final 2 innings of work.
In girls coach pitch, All State beat Wabash Communications 25-5. Abbi Haines led the way driving in 5, 4 RBI from Kennedy Thompson and 3 from Arabella Hudspeth. They got 2 RBI each from Adalyn Reynolds, Skylar Gaston, Julianna Rushing, Alexis Henseler, Emerie Cluck and Amelia Westman.
