Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies have broken up a burglary in progress.
Sheriff Kevin Cripps says a caretaker for a currently vacant home on Bernard Road in rural Centralia noticed a vehicle parked outside the home Thursday afternoon and called the sheriff’s department. They allegedly found 42-year-old Aleshia Stein and 36-year-old Whitney Reynolds of Marilyn Avenue in Centralia inside the residence.
The two were arrested for burglary, possession of burglary tools, and possession of methamphetamine.
Cripps says methamphetamine was allegedly found in the vehicle.
Stein was also charged with possession of a controlled substance
Cripps says the home had been broken into a few weeks ago and the caretaker had been on the lookout for a potential return visit.
The incident occurred around two Thursday afternoon.
