One person was killed Wednesday morning in a single SUV crash on Interstate 64 at milepost 66 near Woodlawn.
Jefferson County Coroner Roger Hayse identifies the victim as 60-year-old Anthony Ray Brooks of Louisville, Kentucky. He was pronounced dead at the scene from multiple injuries.
Illinois State Police say for unknown reasons, the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and struck several large trees.
The crash occurred at 6:52 Wednesday morning.
The Woodlawn Fire Protection District was also called to the scene.
