Wildcats Knock Off Harrisburg On Senior Day
The Salem Wildcats knocked off Harrisburg 5-1 handing them only their 3rd loss in 30 games this season. The Cats scored all 5 in the opening inning as Griffin Day dro9ve in 2 with 2 hits and a double. Also with first inning RBI were Noah Nix, Drew Davis and Isaak Williams. That was more than enough for Day who was great going the distance allowing just 3 hits and no earned runs with 8 strikeouts. Salem improves to 17-14 on the season. The Wildcats return to action today as they host Waltonville/Sesser Valier.
CORLHS Walks It Off On MEL To Honor Seniors
Christ Our Rock improved to 17-4 with their 7-6 win over Metro East Lutheran on Senior Day for the Stallions. Colton Oelze doubled home a run and the Stallions scored the game winning walk-off run in the 7th. Da’mari Dabney had 2 hits and 2 runs scored, Parker Boehne drove in 2 runs along with Jayden Bazile. Christ Our Rock also got RBI from Omari King and Christian Nollman. Myles Pryor worked the first 4 innings allowing 4 runs on 8 hits. Parker Boehne worked 3 innings for the win.
The SC Cougars return to action today as they play at Richland County.
