The Salem Lady Cats improved to 19-3 on the season as they dominated their road game at Wood River winning 24-3. Lilly Blagoue was the winning pitcher striking out 6. The bats exploded for 20 hits. Breanna Thurman went 4-5 and drove in 4. Blagoue had 4 RBI including a 3-run home run that added to her single season record of 10. Olivia Paulson hit for the cycle including a 2-run shot and drove in 3. She has 7 home runs on the season. Marah Johnson drove in 2 runs on 2 hits. Every Lady Cat had a hit.
The OPS Lady Eagles opened up the MTC Tournament with a win over Webber 19-3. Macey Spicer had 2 hits including a 3-run homerun and drove in 5 runs. Lauren Robb hit a grand slam, Madie Garrett had 2 hits, Bella Pearce hit a 2-run homerun. Hailey Lane picked up the win as the Lady Eagles improve to 15-5 on the season. They will travel to Wayne City to play Christ Our Rock today in the semifinals at 4pm.
The SC Lady Cougars are in NTC Tournament action today at Effingham taking on Windsor/Stew-Stras.
