Salem Wildcats 10U Takes High-Scoring Game From Tribe 10U, 14-8

Both Salem Wildcats 10U and Tribe 10U had their offenses going on Saturday, but Salem Wildcats 10U eventually prevailed 14-8.
Salem Wildcats 10U opened up scoring in the second inning when Maddox LoGrasso singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Salem Wildcats 10U took the lead for good with three runs in the fourth inning.  In the fourth LoGrasso singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run and Zane Wesselmann singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
Salem Wildcats 10U put up five runs in the seventh inning.  Salem Wildcats 10U’s offense in the inning came from singles by E.J. Wolfe and Jacob Butts,  by Lucas Hicks, and a double by Isaac Knapp.
Tribe 10U scored three runs in the sixth inning.  Tribe 10U’s big inning was driven by singles by Tate S and Jack M and a walk by Peyton O.
Maxsen Tiemann was on the mound for Salem Wildcats 10U. The hurler surrendered three runs on four hits over two innings, striking out one and walking zero.
Salem Wildcats 10U tallied 12 hits in the game.  Butts, Wesselmann, LoGrasso, and Izac Holsapple all had multiple hits for Salem Wildcats 10U.  Salem Wildcats 10U tore up the base paths, as three players stole at least two bases. Hicks led the way with two.
