The Centralia Tournament continues today. At 10am it’s Centralia versus Wesclin and South Central will play North Clay. Then at noon it’s Centralia against South Central and North Clay will take on Wesclin.
Yesterday in a battle of 2 really good teams, Wesclin scored 3 runs in the bottom of the fifth and held on to beat SC 6-5. Aidan Dodson doubled and drove in a run, Chase Thompson had a hit, 2 RBI and a run. Also with RBI were Anthony Buonaura and Maddux Robb. Ethan Watwood took the loss working all 6 innings allowing 6 hits and 6 runs, only 4 earned. The Cougars are 17-2 while Wesclin improves to 16-4.
North Clay fell to Centralia 7-6 with the Orphans scoring 3 times in the 7th to walk off with the win. Ian Justice had a big night going 2-3 with 3 RBI, Cruz Harlan also doubled as part of his 3 hit day and scored 3 runs. For the Cardinals, Alex Boose had 2 hits and 2 RBI with 2 runs scored. RBI also from Logan Fleener, Ayden Jones and Jesse Weidner.
