The Iuka Grade School’s spring music program was a Salute to the 200th Anniversary of Marion County and one of the county’s bicentennial celebration this year.
All grades participated in the Historical and Patriotic songs. The other grades split up various topics. Kindergarten and first grade songs centered on Pioneers and Farming, second and third grade on Railroads and Highways, and 4th and 5th grade on People, Faith, and Music.
The program was under the leadership of Iuka Music and Band Teacher Matt Webster.
Marion County and Iuka School officials manned a display on the county’s history.
The Iuka Grade School also provided the music for the kickoff to the county’s 200th birthday celebration.
