Bobcats Track Hosts Meet Monday, Will Travel To Highland Today

Franklin Park will send their team to the very competitive Highland Invitational today.

Yesterday, Salem hosted Raccoon, Iuka and St Mary’s with those athletes not traveling to Highland for the Bobcats competing.  Evan Barnes was 2nd in the shot, Lane Kaminski and Logan McKinley were 2nd and 3rd in the discus, Gabe Thomason 4th in the 400, Jacob Cape and Jacob McIntosh were 3, 4 in the 1600, the boys 4×100 team of Matthew Miraglia, Landen Tennyson, McKinley and Barnes won.  Abram Jett was 1st in the 6th grade 100, Kade Orell was 2nd in the 800 and Miraglia and Jayce Morton were 2nd and 3rd in the 200.  Morton also won the 7th grade 100.

On the girls side, Natalee Burgess was 2nd in the discus, Maci Susmena 2nd in the long jump, Nora Purcell 3rd in the mile, the girls 6th grade 4×100 team of Quinn, Parker, Pracht and Susmena was 1st, Susmena also was 2nd in the 6th grade 100, Jasimine Askew 3rd in the 7th grade 100, Nora Purcell won the 800.
