The Salem Lady Cats improved to 15-3 on the softball season after a pair of wins at Lawrenceville on Saturday. Salem won the opener 6-1. Lilly Blagoue was the winner striking out 11. Breanna Thurman and Miranda Podergois scored twice. Also with RBI were Olivia Paulson, Nat Lee and Jaelyn Keller.
Salem won the 2nd game 16-3. Thurman struck out 3 in the win in the circle. Lauren Burge was great in relief. Thurman also went 3-5 at the plate with 2 RBI. Paulson was on 3 times and scored 3 runs, Lee drove in 2. Kale Benjamin got her first varsity hit. Marah Johnson hit her 4th home run of the season and Blagoue blasted her 6th of the year. Salem returns to action this afternoon at Mount Vernon.
