The Salem JV Lady Cats softball team lost both games Saturday to Breese 8-7 and 20-13. In the first game, Lauren Burge was great striking out 11. Marah Johnson hit her 2nd JV homer of the season as part of a 4-4 day and she drove in 5 runs. Alivia Rasul had 3 hits.
In the 2nd game, Kale Benjamin was on base 4 times, Jaelyn Keller and Bria Murray were each on base 3 times. Kale drove in 3 and Lauren Burge added 2 RBI. The Salem Varsity are 12-2 and will return to action at Breese Central tomorrow afternoon.
The SC Lady Cougars are in action today at TTown after knocking off top-ranked and previously unbeaten Casey Westfield in their last time out.
Also today, OPS will host Dieterich.
