A 45-year-old Walnut Hill man was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia complaining of back pain following a single-vehicle crash on Walnut Hill Road west of Onion Town Road southeast of Centralia.
Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies say a witness reported Jeremy Wheat of North Springer Lane was traveling westbound on Walnut Hill Road when he went into the eastbound lane, overcorrected and returned to the westbound lane, before losing control and running off the road.
Both Lifestar Ambulance and the Centralia Fire Protection District were called to the scene to assist.
The crash occurred at 9:53 Friday night.
