Lady Cats Host EAWR Today, JV Fall At Breese Monday
Fresh off their Waltonville Tournament championship, the Salem Lady Cats will host the Wood River Lady Oilers to Tully Park for a 4:30 first pitch.
The JV Lady Cats added a game at Breese yesterday and fell 10-7. Bria Murray was good in the circle striking out 5. Jaelyn Keller had 2 hits and reached base 4 times. Kale Benjamin, Alivia Rasul, Murray and Mia Bookhout were on base 3 times each. Keller also hit a 2-run homer, her 2nd JV homer of the season.
SC Lady Cougars Win Big, Prepare For SEB Today
South Central is at home against Brownstown/St Elmo. The Lady Cougars improved to 9-3 on the season with yesterday’s 10-0 win at Webber. Kinlee Thompson was the winning pitcher allowing 2 hits in the shutout. At the plate, Zoey Feldhake and Ella Watwood drove in 2 runs each along with Kyra Swift. Bryleigh Timmons added an RBI along with Jaylyn Michel, Taegan Webster, Emily Rose.
OPS Knocks Off Dieterich
The OPS Lady Eagles improve to 7-2 with their 9-6 win over Dieterich. Lauren Robb had 3 hits, Trista Moore added 2. Macey Spicer had 4 RBI and 2 hits with Amiah Wallace also singled. Hailey Lane struck out 3 in the circle for the win. OPS will return to MTC play today when they host Woodlawn.
Centralia beat Greenville 8-1.
Yesterday, Red Bud beat Gibault 11-1, Mater Dei moved to 10-0 with their 15-0, 4-inning win over Lebanon. Kailynn Kruep was a double shy of the cycle and Avery Wuebbles had 2 hits and 3 RBI.
