The Salem Lady Cats softball team won both games Saturday at the Waltonville Tournament. They beat Trico in the first game 2-0. Lilly Blagoue was the winning pitcher striking out 11. Maya Susmena was on base twice. Mirdanda Podergois added an RBI single.
In the championship, Salem beat Waltonville 6-4. Blagoue struck out 6 in the win and drove in a run. Salem was down 4-3 in the top of the 7th when freshman Marah Johnson hit a go ahead 4-run homer, her first in varsity of her career.
