The Salem boys track team traveled to the O’Fallon Relays Monday. Salem was 4th in the Blue Division with 44 points. The field events led the way as Caleb Smith was first in the shot and discus with throws of 57-11.25 and 152-1. Teammate Cole Johnson was 3rd in both events with throws of 45-4 and 142. Miking Ettress was 2nd in the long jump going 20-10 for a PR while Jervace Mayes was 2nd in the triple jump in 37-8.15. Holden Richardson cleared the opening height in the pole vault.
The 4×11 relay team of Mayes, Ettress, Sean Thornton and Sam Greene had a season best time of 44.85 for 5th. The 4×800 relay was 4th including Hunter Malan, Ricardo Salgado, Branson Pappas and Caleb Purintun.
Salem travels to Olney on Thursday.
