The Salem Lady Wildcats fell in their Cahokia showdown at Tully Park with Freeburg 7-2. Olivia Paulson had both RBI for the varsity.
The Salem JV lost 13-9. Marah Johnson hit her first high school home run, a three run shot, and drove in 5 for the game. Kale Benjamin had 3 hits and scored 3 times. Alivia Rasul, Brooklyn Bookhout, Bria Murray and Willow Amburgey all had 2 hits.
Salem returns to softball play today when they travel to Centralia to take on the Annies.
Also the Lady Cats would like to thank Freeburg for providing snack bags hearing about the recent tornado, they wanted to show they were thinking of Salem.
Also in the Cahokia, Breese Central beat Columbia 6-5. Alyse Monken had 2 singles and the win in the circle. She allowed 2 earned runs with 10 strikeouts.
