The SC Cougars play at home today against Mulberry Grove. SC is 3-0 after yesterday’s come back win at Altamont 10-8. The Cougars led 3-0 in the 2nd inning only to see Altamont tie it with 3 runs in the 3rd. The Indians took an 8-3 lead with a 5 spot in the 4th that was answered by SC with 5 of their own in the 5th. The Cougars plated 2 in the sixth and held on. Aidan Dodson doubled as part of his 2 hit day, Chase Thompson and Anthony Buonaura drove in 2 runs each. Brody Markley also doubled. Dodson worked the first 4 innings allowing 5 hits and 8 runs, 3 earned with 11 strikeouts. Buonaura worked the final 3 innings of 1-hit ball and 6 strikeouts to earn the win.
In other action: Mater Dei lost to Triad 9-5. Will Harris scored 3 runs as Mater Dei falls to 2-2.
