The Hawthorn Grade School Illinois Principal Association Student of the Year is Briah Henseler. She was nominated by Hawthorn Principal Marty Adams and Assistant Principal Melanie Becker.
Henseler was recognized at the 27th Annual Student Recognition Breakfast held last Friday at Greenville University. The award recognizes outstanding achievement in and out of the classroom.
Over 50 students were honored at the breakfast in the Kaskaskia Region that includes schools in Bond, Clinton, Fayette, Macoupin, Marion, and Montgomery Counties.
