Wildcats Fall To Collinsville At GCS
The Salem Wildcats traveled to GCS Ball Park in Sauget to take on Collinsville and fell 6-0. Salem had 4 hits on the day, singles from Noah Nix, Griffin Day, Eli Rose and Jalen Inlow. Gavin Zimmermann took the loss going 3 innings allowing 2 hits and 4 runs, only 2 earned, with 4 strikeouts. Isaak Williams and Noah Nix worked the final 3 innings.
18 Hits Lead CORLHS To Season Opening Win
Christ Our Rock opened their baseball season with an 18-hit attack as they beat Odin/Patoka 16-2. Colton Oelze went 3-3 with a home run and 4 RBI with 3 runs scored. Jayden Bazile had 2 hits along with Lendon Isaiah and Myles Pryor. Pryor drove in 2 runs and Da’mari Dabney doubled as part of his 3-3 day with 2 RBI. Brayden Albert also had 3 hits and drove in a run. Dabney earned the win going 2.2 allowing 5 hits and 2 earned runs. Parker Boehne and Pryor also got work in on the mound.
SC Opens With Win Over Sullivan
South Central opened their season with a 15-5 home win over Sullivan. The Cougars scored 3 runs in the opening inning then 8 more in the 3rd and 4 in the fourth to pull away. Aidan Dodson homered and doubled while driving in 3 and scoring 3. Chase Thompson doubled twice and drove in 3 with 2 RBI from Anthony Buonaura and Andrew Magnus. Brody Markley added an RBI along with Maddux Robb. Dodson earned the win going 3 innings allowing 2 hits and 1 run with 4 strikeouts. Buonaura worked 2 innings allowing 1 hit and 1 earned run with 3 ks.
