Our 5th grade girls took up the action today in their Glen Carbon indoor league, going 2-0 for 5-2 and 6-4 in the games for the day against some tough teams! Congratulations to our scorers of the day: Laney Kuhns with 7 goals, Alyx Pearce 2 goals, Sofia Decker 1 goal, and Braelyn Holzhausen 1 goal.
Holzhausen, Kuhns, and Pearce worked hard on offense to lead the team to victory with a total of 11 goals for the day. Decker played with intensity and came in clutch with an incredible goal from midfield to seal the win in the second game against a strong TSA House Team.
Gabby Gaston played goalie the entire first game and had some great stops at net. Addy Nix came in strong to play goalie for most of the second game. Kinsley Gansauer helped the team control the field allowing many scoring opportunities while playing at midfield. Paisley Stanford, Lilly Davis, and Baylie Purcell all played outstanding defense both games. Alei Deitz should be recognized for her hustle at forward; regaining possession of nearly every free ball. Brooklyn Anderson and Piper Stanford provided solid defense as well.
