A modular home north of Salem was damaged in a Wednesday morning fire in the crawl space under the home.
Salem Fire Protection District Chief Jim Cerny says a fire alarm alerted the Stephen Wikerson family at 3375 Townhouse Road to the fire. Everyone was out of the home upon their arrival. While the fire was confined to the crawl space, there was some smoke and water damage to the living area of the home.
Cerny says the cause of the fire has not been determined. Firemen received the call at 6:15 Tuesday morning and were on the scene for about two hours.
