The Mount Vernon Lady Rams season came to an end as Grace Wilke scored 29 and Larissa Taylor added 16 in Highland’s 66-54 win at Centralia. The Lady Bulldogs advance to play Lincoln at Taylorville on Monday. It’s the first trip to the Supers for Highland since 2010.
In 2a, Mater Dei nipped rival Breese Central to win the DuQuoin Sectional 40-38. They advance to the Salem Super Sectional on Monday where they will play Paris who knocked off Pana 42-28 behind 21 from Kaitlyn Coombes.
In 1a, Junior All-Stater Amiah Hargrove scored 23 of her 30 points in the 2nd half to help Christopher beat Edwards County 58-43. Jessica Gordon added 18 in the win. Grace Bishop led the Lady Lions with 17. They advance to the St Anthony Sectionals on Monday where they will play Neoga who won the Casey Sectional beating Tuscola 44-38.
Also in 1a, Okawville got 22 points from Alayna Krauss in their 63-41 win over Carlyle at Jacksonville Routt. They will play Monday at Mt Sterling against Havana.
In 4a girls sectional finals, O’Fallon won at home over visiting Normal Community 60-42 and advance to Monday’s Super Sectional at Illinois Wesleyan in Bloomington.
