Wildcats Play Greenville At Wood River Semifinals Tonight

The Salem Wildcats head to the Wood River Regional semifinal tonight starting at 6pm to take on the top-seed Greenville Comets.  The Cats earned the right to play after beating Staunton in the opener Saturday night at B.E. Gum.  The winner will advance to Friday’s regional finals against the winner of the 2nd game tonight between Roxana and Piasa.  Listen to the Cats at 6pm on WJBD.

There will be 4 20-win teams battling in the 2a regional semifinals at Nashville.  Starting at 6pm it’s Breese Central and Wesclin followed by Nashville and Mater Dei.  Also in 2a tonight at Benton, Massac County plays Johnston City followed by Benton and Murphysboro.  At Harrisburg it’s Carterville and Eldorado and then Vienna and Carmi.  At Lawrenceville the hosts welcome Fairfield followed by Newton and Mt Carmel.  At Litchfield, the hosts take on Marquette and Pana plays Hillsboro.  At Sparta, Columbia takes on Red Bud followed by Pinckneyville and Freeburg.  At TTown, the host Shoes play Shelbyville followed by Flora and Robinson.


The Centralia Orphans open up play at the Mascoutah 3a regionals tonight against Waterloo at 6pm with the winner getting either Mascoutah or Carbondale in the title game.  Also tonight at Civic Memorial it’s the hosts and Triad followed by Highland and Jerseyville.  At Jacksonville it’s East St Louis and Taylorville.  At Mount Vernon, the host Rams open with Marion followed by Herrin and Olney.


 

It’s a big night at South Central High School as their 1a regional semifinals will be played.  The night begins at 6pm with Christ Our Rock taking on Cisne followed at 7:30 with St Anthony taking on North Clay.  The winners will play in Friday’s finals.

Also in 1a tonight at Webber, Steeleville plays Sesser followed by Bluford and Waltonville.  At Dupo, Gibault and McGivney will be followed by Lovejoy and Maryville Christian.  At New Athens, Wayne City takes on the hosts followed by Okawville and Marissa.  At Nokomis, top-seed Altamont plays Carlyle and then St Elmo/Brownstown takes on Nokomis.  At Toledo, Casey plays Neoga and Windsor/Stew-Stras takes on Macon Meridian.


In 4a tonight at O’Fallon, Belleville East opens with Granite City followed by O’Fallon and Belleville West.  At Quincy, Alton plays the hosts followed by Collinsville and Edwardsville.
