The IHSA boys post season opens up today. The Salem Wildcats will host their 2a regional quarterfinal tonight at 6pm when they take on the Staunton Bulldogs. In 2a regional openers, Mater Dei hosts DuQuoin, Flora hosts Arthur, Chester goes to Freeburg, Vandalia hosts Litchfield and Roxana plays at Wood River.
In Class 1a, the South Central Cougars will host Cisne tonight at 6pm in Farina. Christ Our Rock is at home at 2pm this afternoon against Red Hill. The winners will play each other in the semifinals next week.
Also in 1a, Altamont hosts Mulberry Grove, Woodlawn is at Webber, Carlyle host Edinburg, Sandoval goes to St Anthony, North Clay hosts Dieterich, Patoka/Odin plays at St Elmo today at 6pm.
In 3a regional openers, Civic Memorial hosts Cahokia, Effingham is at Marion.
