Tonight is regional championship night for some area schools in prep girls basketball. In Class 1a McGivney and Carlyle play from Metro East Lutheran, North Clay will host St Anthony, Okawville welcomes Nokomis and Edwards County will play Marissa at Steeleville.
In 2a, Althoff hosts Mater Dei, TTown and Mt Carmel play from Carmi, Robinson and Newton from Flora, Harrisburg hosts Benton, Paris welcomes Arthur, Freeburg and Breese Central play for a 3rd time at Sparta with the Lady Midgets winning the first two meetings. At Wood River, Staunton will play Marquette.
The Mount Vernon Lady Rams will play the hosts for the Marion 3a title tonight. Mascoutah will host East St Louis.
In 4a, Alton hosts Quincy for their regional title and O’Fallon will play the hosts at Belleville East.
