The 96th MTC Tournament continued last night. Top seed Christ Our Rock moved to 18-0 with their 81-33 win over Grayville to advance to the semifinals at Woodlawn tomorrow against Webber after they beat the Cardinals 60-37. Also Waltonville advanced with a 64-58 win over Wayne City in an upset. Tonight is the consolation semifinals with Grayville and Woodlawn at 6pm followed by Red Hill and Wayne City.
At Okawville last night in opening round games, Columbia beat Carlyle 64-51 and Marquette nipped Highland 53-48.
Last night at the Sparta Tournament, Lovejoy nipped Murphysboro 53-52, Red Bud over Trico 65-33 and Steeleville beat Sparta 67-62. Tonight it’s Sparta and Lovejoy followed by Steeleville and Murphysboro with Waterloo and Freeburg playing the last game of the night.
It was the last pool play night at Litchfield with Nokomis beating McGivney 60-47, Greenville over Litchfield 58-48, Triad beat Mattoon 61-33 and Civic Memorial beat Hillsboro 70-63.
