A 25-year-old Kinmundy woman has been arrested by Salem Police for aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of adult use cannabis and no mandatory auto insurance. Brittany Knavel of Meachum Road was initially involved in a traffic stop at South Broadway and Lake around 2:30 Wednesday morning. After probable cause was found to search the vehicle, police say they found several grams of cannabis, drug paraphernalia, and meth residue, along with an unloaded shotgun hidden in a duffle bag.
A 26-year-old Centralia man was arrested in Washington County on two new Marion County warrants issued last year. Tyrance Pickens-Hill of South Pleasant is charged with threatening a public official in one of the warrants and aggravated domestic battery in the other. Bond on each warrant was set at $100,000.
27-year-old Cheyenne Logue of North Trenary in Salem was arrested by Central City Police on a Marion County traffic failure to appear warrant with bond set at $5,000.
63-year-old Ray Adams of Vincent Street in Salem was arrested at the Marion County probation office on Tuesday on a Fayette County felony failure to appear warrant in a possession of methamphetamine case. He was later transferred to the Fayette County Jail at Vandalia.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of a flat bed truck stolen from the Citation Oil Company office on Hoots Chapel Road in rural Odin. The truck was reported missing Tuesday morning.
