Fire damaged a Centralia home Monday morning.

The fire was at the Darrell Jones, Sr. home at 1002 North Maple.

No one was home when the fire was spotted by a neighbor.

The fire caused heavy damage to the attic but did not burn through the roof.   While most of the fire was kept out of the living area, there was heavy heat and smoke damage.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

All available Centralia City Firemen were called to the scene.  Mutual aid on the scene was provided by the Centralia Fire Protection District.   Sandoval Firemen covered the Centralia Fire Station in the event of another fire.

The fire call came in at 7:25 Monday morning.  Firemen were on the scene until 9:45 am.
