The Odin School is the latest to look at establishing a solar field at their school to be able access inexpensive electricity.
The Odin Village Board Thursday night approved vacating undeveloped portions of Kirkwood and Main Street behind the school to give them a location to place the solar panels.
Odin School officials are working with AGE to develop plans and to find investors who want to earn tax credits for building the facility and selling low cost electricity back to the school. There would be no cost to the district to develop the solar array.
A number of other school districts are also in the process of setting up deals through AGE.
