Brenda Ann Bundy, 68, of Centralia formerly of Salem, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 3, 2023, surrounded by her family.
She was born June 10, 1955, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Herbert L. Gutzler and Fern E. (Marlow) Gutzler. She married David E. Bundy on November 23, 1973, in Bluford and he preceded her in death on February 27, 2006.
Brenda is survived by her two children: Leigh Ann Bundy and Michael of Salem and Derek E. Bundy and wife Shaunda of Salem; four grandchildren: Abbie Kelton, Lanie, Libbie, and Owen Bundy all of Salem; three great-granddaughters: Mercie, Layla, and Ellie Kelton; sister: Rebecca “Becky” Shields and husband John of Bluford; brother: Nick Gutzler and wife Kim of Glen, Mississippi; six nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents: Herbert and Fern Gutzler, and husband: David Bundy, she was also preceded in death by a niece: Stephanie Gutzler.
Brenda worked for several places of employment as a receptionist/secretary. Before retiring, she worked and attended First Baptist Church in Salem where she also taught 3rd grade Sunday School for 25 years. Also as a foster grandparent at Jordan Elementary School for 5 years. Recently Brenda attended First Apostolic Church in Centralia. Brenda enjoyed crafting. She loved her family and she cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.Funeral Services for Brenda Ann Bundy will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, at 11:00 am at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia with Pastor Jonathan Urshan officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday at the Funeral Home.
