Candace A. Campbell, 60, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away on December 3, 2023, at Saint Louis University Hospital in Saint Louis, Missouri.
She was born August 24, 1963, in Kokomo, Indiana to the late Hobert and Annette (Howe) Campbell.
Candace is survived by her son, Chaz Campbell and wife, Stephanie of Wayne City, Illinois; grandchildren, Jonaleigh and Kara Campbell; and many close friends.
In addition to her parents, Candace was preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert Wicksell.
Candace was a loving mother and grandmother. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Candace was very involved with the NA Program for more than thirty years and throughout her time as a caregiver, Candace worked for Addus Healthcare. She was a very kind, loving, gracious person who loved helping others and will be deeply missed.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 pm with Pastor Tim Reynolds officiating. Memorials may be made in Candace’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
