Kathleen Sprague, 82, of Salem formerly of Carlsbad, California, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023.She was born July 6, 1941 in Long Beach, California, the daughter of Christopher O. and Lillian (Hogg) Fleiss. She married the love of her life, Ted Sprague, and he preceded her in death in September 6, 2018.Kathleen is survived by two nephews and a niece: Michael (Ocieanna) Fleiss of Maple Valley, WA, Poppy (Matthew) Tackett and Jonathan Fleiss all of Salem, along with her great nieces and nephews: Benjamin, Gabrielle, Christian and Abigail Fleiss.In addition to her parents: Christopher and Lillian Fleiss, she is also preceded in death by her husband: Ted Sprague, brother: Fred Fleiss, and sister-in-law: Linda “Nellie” Fleiss.Kathleen started her life journey in California, where she fell in love with her husband, Ted. In the 1970’s, they joined the Peace Corps and traveled all over the world. Kathleen loved the ocean, at one time in her life she enjoyed sailing the sea with her own sailboat. She was such an incredible and happy person to be around. Kathleen was a very devoted aunt and will be missed by all who loved her.Per Kathleen’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no public service will be held.
