Charles M. Schaeffer, 67, of Centralia passed away on October 15th, 2023.
He was born on November 18th, 1955 to Albert Schaeffer and Kathryn Chiavario.
Charles is survived by his son, Charles P. Schaeffer; sister Susan Smith; and niece Lisa Abernathy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert Schaeffer and Kathryn Chiavario; and brother Rick Abernathy.
Charles enjoyed spending his free time working on small engines. He enjoyed participating in sweepstakes and especially enjoyed it when he won them. He also loved sci-fi shows, especially Dr. Who. He always enjoyed spending time watching old TV shows and movies, even running his own website and streaming channel about them.
A graveside service for Charles will take place on October 26th, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family and will be accepted at Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street, Centralia IL 62801, 618-532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Schaeffer family.
