Mark Taylor, 66, of Centralia, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.

Mark was born in Centralia, IL, the son of Robert Taylor and Delores (Seiber) Taylor. He married Tammie Featherling on April 8, 1978, in Salem and she survives him.

In addition to his wife Tammie of 45 years, he is survived by three daughters: Nicole Burleyson and husband Travis of Belleville, Staci Burleyson and husband Brandon of Centralia, and Brooke Judge and husband Patrick of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren: Keagan Burleyson , Bryar Burleyson, Andrew Burleyson, Bennett Burleyson, and one grandson on the way; one brother: Robert Taylor and wife Cindy of Odin; one sister: Deanna Taylor of Centralia; also surviving is several nieces and nephews.Mark was preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Delores Taylor; paternal grandparents: Bennie and Bertie Taylor, and maternal grandparents: Wayne and Clara Seiber.

Mark was extremely proud of his three daughters and all their accomplishments. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he was awaiting his fifth grandson. He loved going on vacation with his family to the beach, where there was warmth, sand, and waves. He loved his four-legged companions, Blue and Holly. Mark worked for Continental Tire for 31 years before retiring. You could find Mark working on or installing pools and fixing appliances, especially washing machines and dryers. Mark took pride in all he did. He also had a love for trains.

A visitation for Mark Taylor will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home in Centralia. Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia. In memory of Mark, memorial donations may be made to SSM Hospice or to the Centralia Humane Society and will be accepted by the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street in Centralia, IL 62801 (618) 532-3523, which is honored to be of service to the Taylor family.
