Carolyn J. Isaak, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2023, in Carlyle, Illinois.

Born on December 5, 1941, in Breese, Illinois, Carolyn lived a life full of love, laughter, and warmth, touching the lives of all who knew her.

Carolyn was a woman of many passions. She was a dedicated member of the Messiah Lutheran Church, where she found peace and community. Her love for shopping was well-known among her friends and family, often resulting in delightful finds that she would generously share. She cherished the simple pleasures of life, such as basking in the sun and watching her favorite shows, always surrounded by her beloved dogs. But above all, Carolyn’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, creating memories that they will forever hold dear.

Carolyn was a loving mother to her children, Kimmie Marlow, and Chad Isaak (Jennifer), all of Carlyle. She was a doting grandmother to Hannah Vance (Kirby), Paige Isaak (Allen Spaur), Maddie Hartung (Hunter), and Molly Isaak (Travis Michael), all of Carlyle. Her love extended to her great-grandchildren – Crew Vance, Ivy Vance, Bristol Isaak, Isaak Loepker, Willow Hartung, Poppy Hartung, River Michael, and Ruby Michael. She was a cherished sister to Mary Zachary (Duane) of Carlyle and a beloved aunt to her two nephews, Brad Zachary (Mary) and Brett Zachary (Mary), as well as several great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Carolyn was preceded in death by a son – Jimmie Isaak on October 27, 2005.

All services for Mrs. Isaak will be private.  Expressions of sympathy in memory of Mrs. Isaak are suggested to Messiah Lutheran Church and will be received through Zieren Funeral Home, 1111 Clinton Street, Carlyle, IL 62231.  Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.ZierenFuneralHome.com.
