2023 10/07 – Marion Niedbalski

Marion Niedbalski, 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 26th, 2023 at home. He was born to John and Frances (Kwiatkowski) Niedbalski on January 13th, 1933 in DuBois, Illinois.

Marion is survived by his daughter: Jacklyn Young of Central City; step-sons: Terry Heern and Carla of Salem and Mark Heern and Linda of Centralia; grandchildren: Jessica Koch of Centralia and Blake Koch of Central City; several step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren Jacelyn, Brooklyn, Nadalyn, Zayn, and Brinlyn; several step great-grandchildren; brother: Louie Niedbalski of Wyoming; sister: Evelyn Lambert of Centralia; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Frances Niedbalski, wife: Janet Niedbalski, step-son: Randy Heern, brothers: Marvin Niedbalski and Edwin Niedbalski, and sisters: Eleanor Bierman and Josephine Crabtree.

Marion was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. Marion loved his family, and he especially had a soft spot for his grandchildren.

Per Marion’s wishes cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 12:00 PM at the Centralia American Legion Post 446.
