Barbara will be forever remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who had the most welcoming home. She and her husband, Billy loved to host family fish frys and barbeques, serving her homemade noodles, breads, and pies on the side. If someone was looking for Barbara, she was sure to be found stealing a quiet moment on her swing. She was a hard worker, tending her vegetable garden and canning all the fresh produce harvested. Barbara was famous for the beautiful impatiens she grew every year in her flower beds. She was an avid reader, finding it hard to put down a good romance book. Her family will remember outfits they wore that Barbara sewed for them by hand, as she was a talented seamstress. Barbara was happy to live a quiet life, filled with treasured time spent with family.

A celebration of life service will be held by the family at a future date. Memorials may be made in Barbara’s honor to the Conservation Club 100 and will be accepted for the family at Day Macz Funeral Home in Patoka. Online condolences and memories of Barbara may be shared with the family by visiting www.maczfuneralhomes.com and/or on the funeral home’s Facebook page.
