Jean M. Anderson, age 63 of Carlyle, passed away at her home on Sunday, September 10, 2023.
Jean was born in Breese, Illinois on December 29, 1959, a daughter of Gregory and Bertha (nee Blumenstein) Bach. She owned and operated the Centralia School of Cosmetology and worked as a cosmetologist for over 40 years. She most recently took care of her clients’ beauty and hair needs while working at Creative Clips in Carlyle. Jean cherished the time spent with her family, and she was always spoiling her grandchildren with love, laughter, and joy. She also enjoyed reading, crocheting, and rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals. Jean was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Church in Carlyle.
Jean is survived by her children – Valerie Anderson (Nick Stockard), Bryan Anderson (Sarah), and Taylor Wuebbels (Mark); her grandchildren – Caroline, Hudson, and Miles Stockard, Lucas and Collin Anderson, and Jack Wuebbels; her sisters – Beverley Krieger (Bill), Sharon Peppenhorst (Larry), and Janet Compare (Fabio); her nieces and nephews – Stephanie Jansen (Pat), Stacie Deien (Louis), Tim Krieger, Jason Krieger (Melanie), Kayla Pickett (Chris), Kory Peppenhorst (Kelsey), Kurt Peppenhorst (Reena) and Jared Compare; and many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents – Gregory and Bertha Bach, and a nephew – Anthony Compare.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church in Carlyle, on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 10:00 A.M., with Fr. George Mauck, officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Zieren Funeral Home in Carlyle on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday morning from 8:00 – 9:30 A.M.
