Jeanette Amelia Tyler, 99, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 1:35 p.m. September 6, 2023, at the Bethany Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
She was born February 28, 1924, in Cowden, Illinois to the late Joseph and Amelia M. (Storck) Hassebrock. Jeanette married W. Paul Tyler on June 29, 1946, in Mount Vernon. They were married almost 71 years before his passing on March 11, 2017.
Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Terri Paulette Tyler of Nashville, Tennessee; son, Michael Paul Tyler of Woodlawn, Illinois; sister, Betty Jo Tucker of Corneth, Texas; nieces and nephews, Debbie Ford of Santonio, Texas, Janice Hitson of Melbourn, Florida, Mark Tucker of Fort Worth, Texas, and Susan Wilson of California, Bob Hassebrock of Littleton, Colorado, Ron Hassebrock of Lancaster, Kentucky, Susan Wilson of California, Stan Hassebrock of Lawrence, Georgia, and John Hassebrock of Battle Creek, Michigan.
Jeanette was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church and held bible study in her home. She was a member of the Mitchell Museum and Garden Glory’s. Jeannette enjoyed sewing and painting. She was an artist and was awarded several blue ribbons for her work. Jeanette was also an excellent cook. She will be deeply missed.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, September 17, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church in Mount Vernon with Pastor Mark Winkleman officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn.
