Police Beat for Sunday, September 11th, 2022

Salem Police arrested 23-year-old Kemper Hotze of North Ohio Street in Salem for felony criminal trespass to a residence.   He was taken into custody after allegedly entering an occupied home in the 500 block of West Warmouth where he was told he was not wanted.  Hotze was taken to the Marion County Jail.

Salem Police arrested 19-year-old Gabriel Simmons of Yards Road in Salem on two cannabis charges following a traffic stop in the 400 block of East Main Street.   Simmons was taken to jail for alleged possession with intent to deliver 30 to 500 grams of cannabis and possession of 30 to 100 grams of cannabis.

Centralia Police arrested 26-year-old Lindell Troupe of North Hickory in Centralia for violation of bail bond and possession of a controlled substance.

Centralia Police arrested 33-year-old Brock Linder, who told authorities he was homeless, on an outstanding Marion County misdemeanor failure to appear warrant and for aggravated resisting arrest.   Bond for the warrant on a pending resisting arrest charge is set at $5,000.

Salem Police arrested 33-year-old Clerra Helm -Bacher of North 1050th Street in Watson for alleged driving under the influence.   She was taken to the Marion County Jail.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the theft of a four-wheeler from a garage at a home in the 500 block of Maple Street in Patoka.  It was reported missing at 10 Saturday morning and as of Sunday morning was still missing.
