Reverend Edward E. Woodcock, 90, of Bluford, Illinois, passed away at 10:17 p.m. on August 26, 2023, at White Oak Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
He was born October 31, 1932, in New Madrid County, Missouri to the late Thomas and Mandy (Lashley) Woodcock. Edward married Arlene (Hildreth) Woodcock on October 6, 1954. They were blessed with nearly 69 years of marriage.
In addition to his beloved wife, Edward is survived by his children, Bonita Shelton and husband, Gary, Edward Woodcock, Jr., Kevin Woodcock and wife, Barbara, and Amanda Bean and husband, Kent; eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his siblings, Herbert Woodcock, Thomas Woodcock, Jr., Betty Baer, Wilma Stone, and Charles Woodcock; infant brother, Emerson Woodcock, infant sister, Lucille Woodcock; and great-granddaughter, Isabella Karlie Bean.
A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Mount Vernon. Interment will follow.
