Richard ‘Dicky’ Lee Murphy, Jr., 51, of Centralia passed away on Thursday, July 27th, 2023, with family by his side.
Richard was the son of Richard Lee Murphy Sr. and Brenda Webb Murphy who preceded him in death, along with his sister: Robin Mallica, and grandchild: Baby Murphy.
He is survived by The love of his life: Tracie Murphy; son: Austin Murphy and wife Sierra of Centralia; Daughter: Annika Murphy of Centralia; Grandchildren: Paislee and Oliver Murphy of Centralia; Sister: Sandy and husband Mike Lindsey of Centralia; Nieces: Renae Rosol of Centralia, Samantha Dix of Centralia, Shaina Paddick of O’Fallon, and Sosha Pruden of Salem; many cousins and friends who ultimately became family to Richard. Richard was well-known in the community for being selfless. He did not know a stranger and could talk to anyone for hours. Richard was one of the funniest people you would ever meet. He was an ISHA umpire and referee for many years. Richard also loved the St. Louis Cardinals. Richard’s greatest accomplishment in life was his children and he loved them more than anything in the world. He was loved by many.
A Memorial Service for Richard will be decided at a later date.
