Elizabeth “Liza” Renne Pokojski, age 29 of Loveland, CO formerly of Salem, passed away at her home on Sunday, August 6, 2023.
Liza was born on August 4, 1994, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Pete and Renne (Thompson) Pokojski.
Survivors include her father, Pete Pokojski and wife Pam of Iuka; mother, Renne Vest and husband Brent of Salem; brothers, Justin Pokojski and Jess Copeland of Festus, MO, and Andrew Pokojski and Emily Daniels of Cabot, AR; sister, Sarah Sauter and husband Brandon of Salem; step- sisters, Michelle Crawford and husband Tim of Salem, Kelly Kleiboeker and fiancé Andy Ort of Edgewood, and Taylor Rodriguez and husband Jericho of Mt. Vernon; nieces, Madison and Kylie Sauter; nephews, Skylar Pokojski and Jake Alvis; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Louie and Annabelle Pokojski, Sam and Alice Thompson, and Rosa Thompson.
Liza worked for Ricoh USA as an event planner. She was an outgoing, beautiful, smart, capable, warm, fun, loving, crazy, and caring person. Liza loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, golfing, spending time outdoors, giving the best hugs, and being the life of the party. She will be missed dearly by all those who knew her.
A public visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. A private Celebration of Life will be held at Crouse Funeral Home with Andy DeWitt officiating. Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery.
