An 18-year-old Centralia man has been arrested on multiple charges by Centralia Police. Jayden Acres of McKee Street was taken to the Marion County Jail on Sunday for alleged possession of a stolen firearm, theft, unlawful use of a weapon, resisting arrest and possession of a firearm with no valid FOID card.
20-year-old Zykezious Burnett of Dalton, Illinois was arrested by Centralia Police for alleged resisting arrest, criminal trespass to property, and possession of over 30 grams of cannabis.
35-year-old Mary Greenwood of North College in Salem was arrested by Salem Police for possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary to a cabin on the 9200 block of State Route 161 Extension in rural Iuka. A screen was reportedly taken off a window to gain entry. A pistol, ammunition, a pellet gun, three chainsaws and a side-by-side are all reported missing. The break-in is believed to have happened over the past four or five days.
