The Salem Township Hospital Foundation Golf Gala has raised $20,000.
34 teams participated in the Friday tournament at the Salem Country Club.
Foundation President Myron Lloyd says it was a great day.
“The day was wonderful, the weather couldn’t have been a better day. I noticed being on the course with those who were golfing the spirit seemed to be really good. People were having a great time, energetic. We just certainly appreciate the fact that they gave this day to benefit one of the best things we have in the community.”
Money raised by the Salem Township Hospital Foundation allows the hospital to complete needed projects.
Hospital President Alex Nazarian says they have several upcoming equipment needs.
“We always have a need for new equipment. Our philosophy is to maintain our equipment to be cutting edge and the foundation fundraising goes a long way to helping us maintain that type of excellence with our equipment.”
This is the 21st year for the Salem Township Hospital Foundation Golf Gala which has raised over $ 1 million dollars since its creation.
The Golf Gala will return to its normal date on the first Friday in June next year.
