Marion County Fair concludes with Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League appearance

A large grandstand crowd greeted the Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League when they held their first pull at the Marion County Fairgrounds Saturday night.

1st place finishers included Mark Wiederhold of Clarksville, Ohio whose Light Pro Stock Tractor ‘Bare Necessities’ took first place with a distance of 331.74 feet eight feet ahead of his closest competitor.

In the Super Stock Diesel Trucks, ‘Against the Grain’ driven by Cody Hastings of Ashville, Ohio took first.  He finished with a distance of 314.4 feet, six feet ahead of the number two finisher.   Brady Ingram of Farina was sixth in the ‘Scheid Diesel’ with a pull of 277.02 feet.

The Champions Tour for the Super Modified Tractors, ‘Dirtslinger’ driven by Bill Leischner of Weldon, Illinois took first place with a pull of 315.28.  That was five feet ahead of the second-place finisher.

The Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League was the final grandstand event at the Marion County Fair this year.   The carnival and midway also closed for the final time of the year on Saturday night.
