Centralia Police say both the driver of a car and motorcycle were injured in a crash at 4th and Poplar in Centralia late Saturday morning.
Centralia Police report the crash occurred when a southbound motorcycle on South Poplar driven by 19-year-old Jayden Sackett of East 8th in Sandoval ran into the side of a car on East 4th that was traveling across the intersection. The driver of the car, 63-year-old Jackie Crouse of South Cherry in Wamac, told police she thought she had plenty of time to cross the intersection.
Both drivers were taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment.
Sackett was ticketed for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.
