The Clinton County League baseball playoffs opened this weekend with quarterfinal games played.
Germantown advanced with a 10-5 win over Breese. Brent Timmons had a multi-hit game for Germantown with Dylan Burris adding 2 hits for Breese in the loss.
Aviston moves on with a 9-4 win over Beckemeyer. Carter Truong had 3 hits and Austen Lake was the winning pitcher.
Joel Zurliene hit a walk-off double in the gap to score Nolan Haake as Bartelso beat Centralia in the game of the day, 12-11 in 10-innings.
The 2nd round of the playoffs will be held this Sunday with Trenton at Bartelso and Aviston hosts Germantown.
