More than 120 people attended the Harry Potter Birthday Celebration at the Salem Community Theatre Saturday night. They were greeted by characters in costumes and sets from the movies as they entered the theatre. There were also fortune readings, face painting, and Harry Potter-themed drinks and snacks.
Everyone in attendance was asked to join in the singing of Happy Birthday to Harry Potter before the movie began.
In addition to the volunteer cast, those in attendance were also encouraged to wear a costume. The winner was Wyatt Linder, dressed as Harry Potter.
The chair of the theatre event, Kendra Herman, was pleased with the number who turned out.
