Anna Algusta Keip, 89, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 4:50 am July 18, 2023, at her residence.
She was born October 5, 1933, in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Ernest and Gene (Houston) Bean. Anna married Donald Keip and he preceded her in death on December 31, 1987.
Anna is survived by her sons, Danny Keip and wife, Diane of Bluford, Illinois, and David E. Keip of Mount Vernon, Illinois; daughter, Debbie Catalana and husband, Michael of Mount Vernon, Illinois; and grandchildren, Ed Withrow, Don Keip, Kris Brown, Dayna Bennett, Todd Withrow, Carey Catalana, Steve Withrow, Jamey Catalana, Missy Keip, and Jacob Keip Catalana.
In addition to her parents and husband, Anna was preceded in death by her brother, Melvin Bean and wife, Evlyn, and sisters, Evlyn Simms and husband, Lewis and Freda Keip and husband, Gaylord.
A Visitation will be held Friday, July 21, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois with Reverend Randy Hayes officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois. Memorials may be made in Anna’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
